How do likes and dislikes work?

Likes, dislikes, and comments work on a give-and-take basis. When you like a comment, a post, or a profile, that action is counted towards your own profile as well. The same applies to dislikes and comments. The model is designed to encourage participation: everyone benefits from the engagement they create.
